Welcome to the prepper community. I came to it late in life but Katrina and world evens such as Obama made me concerned about sustainability. I believe God is in the process of judging the USA and punishing it for three modern abominations. Abortion, alternate sexual lifestyle and challenging God on his castigation such as the last half of Roman 1. Thirdly is the full adoption of evil as a normal way of life. I have slowly coming to the conclusion that we will see things that make 1984 look civil. I am afraid the Mark of the Beast is in late stage of development and at 82 I might actually see it. I pray I am wrong. I will be following your evolution closely.

I think the response to people who poo-poo prepping as a lack a faith is, "God helps those who help themselves."
I don't know when, why, how long or how much I need to prep for, but, when I have those answers, it will be too late.
Whatever you prep for, you will have two choice. Stay or leave. Leaving is the hardest to plan for. Fortunately, there is a lot of overlap.
