Surprised to not see wasp spray on this list. You can keep it in your car and by all doors of your house and no one will think anything of it. It has a range of about 15 feet and if a perp gets some in the eye, they won't be doing much any time soon. I hear it often requires one to go to the hospital for assistance, too.

Multi-tools are generally inconspicuous and ignored as weapons by the average person. But I have a small multi-tool with a hammer head on one end and and locking knife blade on the other. With the knife open, it's a hitting/slashing beast. Yet I can carry it openly in a belt sheath and nobody notices.

Be careful with swinging a padlock as a weapon. You can be charged with using it as a slungshot, mace or similar type illegal weapon.
