Currently going through Day 7 with no electrical power in Pittsburgh, PA.

A thunderstorm went through the area last Tuesday 29 April 2025.

Not a hurricane.

Not a tornado.

Not an earthquake.

The city officials and the power companies told residents that it would take 5-7 days to restore power in the area. And they made that statement with a straight face, like it was totally normal for a major city to take so long to restore power.

Seniors and the disabled are trapped in high rise apartments with no way to charge their wheelchairs and medical devices. No power means the elevators are not working which is making these folks prisoners in their own apartments. And no means to cook food either.

All of us who lost power have to toss all the food in our refrigerators and freezers. People were driving around in their cars just to recharge their phones.

At no time did officials pull out a disaster/mass casualty plan to lessen the hardship. At no time did officials ask the Governor to call out the National Guard.

The only thing we have going for us is that it is not winter, or summer with temps in the 90s.

Government will not save, or even help, you.
